I think squeaky shoes are annoying.

Like... the little kid shoes with squeakers in them.

But a friend is a consultant who sells them. She just recently became a SAHM and money is very tight for them and she keeps asking for support for her new business venture.  :

Re: I think squeaky shoes are annoying.

  • Oy.  Sorry.

DS has 2 pairs, but the squeakers come out so it doesn't matter.  I let him run around with the squeaker in now and then because he loves it but we take it out for everyday use.

Ooh... if the squeakers come out maybe I could get a pair to help her out and just take them out.

  • they are awesome when your kid likes to hide in the stacks at the library. we always put them on jack on storytime day. and we do not let him out of the children's part of the library - LOL
  • FWIW I think you can take the squeaker out of them so if there is a pair you really like & you wanna support her go for it! ;)

    This is what she's selling.

  • Agreed. I have DS wear them at home.  They are all super wide and fairly cheap so Ds has like 4 pairs. I take the sqeakers out if we are out.  The plus side to having them is if I dont hear him sqeaking around I know he's stopped to get into something naughty- hense wearing them at home only.

  • horridly annoying.

i worked in a mall kiosk last Christmas, and there was a woman there a few times with her LO. She'd let her run all over the place for like 45 minutes at a time, and it was like nails on a chalkboard to me. I seriously wanted to go punch the woman.

i could see how they'd be cute or useful for a short period at home, and maybe help motivate a kid to walk when they are first learning, but in public, horridly annoying.

  • What would be worse- squeakers or roller shoes??? Squeakers I can tune out but I feel like I'm in danger around roller shoes.. and the parents that let them steamroll the elderly/pregnant/smaller children.

  • Those things are terrible, but not as bad as the roller skate shoes. Those are dangerous and I think they should be illegal. I can't count the times I've almost been ran over by a kid in them.

If it makes you feel any better, I hadn't heard of them until now either!
