NBR: my head hurts

or maybe it is baby brain...

MH wanted this one jersey for Christmas (his big gift), so I had the link bookmarked and when I went to buy it after Thanksgiving, they were out of his size.  Ok, plan B.  Call BIL, who lives near college campus of the jersey MH wants, BIL's best friend (BFF) goes to school there.  Sure, BIL says he can call his BFF and go up to the school store and get the jersey for me.  He'll just have it for us when we come up on Christmas Eve, so we don't have to ship anything.  Fine. 

FF to today, I text BIL and ask if he got the jersey yet, b/c I wanted to see how much money to bring to pay him with.  Text back: "oh, crap hat!!! BFF's phone broke, so I haven't talked to him or been up to see him and it totally slipped my mind but I will have it before you guys get here."  OY.

Next thing I know, I'm getting a text from MIL asking if I still need the jersey for MH.  Uh, yeah, why?  B/c BIL is at work so he called him mom to shop for him.  She can't find one anywhere in stores (has called all over the place) or online. 

Plan C.  I go online and start scrambling.  Finally find one, not the exact one he wants, but one to unwrap nonetheless, so we can return it and get a different one after Christmas if he doesn't like it.  Luckily they had a shipping special to get here before Saturday and it was only $5.  Whew.

This is all after another present I got him - the guy shipped the wrong DVD, reshipped the right one, and it gets lost in the postal service mele that is the mail before Christmas.  He just refunded me the money today, so I had to rebuy that gift as well.  TG for Amazon Mom and the prime feature!

Anyone have some Excedrine?

    wow talk about a headache! glad you got it all worked out. i'm loving amazon prime for last minute gifts too :)

    Oy vey!  Sounds like a disaster :(  I think I got lucky w/ no holiday gift drama, but only cause everything else has kinda gone to poo in the last few weeks :) So, no excendrine, but I can send you the heavy stuff they gave me after surgery Wink

    Whoa! Talk about logistical stress! (Btw, I didn't see this until after I emailed you--if you're busy, no rush on the floppy! I don't wanna add to your holiday stress! I can wait! Smile) But I'm glad you ended up getting it sorted out! Props to you for finding a plan C amidst all the chaos. And YES, I love Amazon Mom too =)

    I still have a headache - that stuff sounds good!

    Guess what came today?  The package I got a refund for that hasn't been seen since 12/10.  UGH!  The one I ordered yesterday is going to arrive today.  I guess I should list the other one and sell it myself!
