(2nd time) BFers

I'm just going to assume that a 1st time BFer wouldn't have known what a letdown felt like when they were still pregnant, so this question goes to our 2nd time BFers...if we have any??

I swear that I just felt a letdown even though no milk came out.  I just wonder if that is normal and if that might mean that I need to watch out for leaking (which I didn't have during my 1st pregnancy...)?  I wish I didn't hate the national boards so much because this question would definitely be better asked there...

Re: (2nd time) BFers

  • I don't have an answer to your question (and I'm not a 2nd time BFer) but I would guess that you have the potential to leak if you're feeling a let down.

I wanted to say that I've found the BFing board to be incredibly helpful so you might check there if you don't get an answer here.

  • I have no idea the answer to your question, but I'm guessing the 12-24 board would give you solid answers. They're not crazy wh0res over there :)

  • I felt that a few times when I was pregnant with Ashlyn.  Definitely start wearing pads so that you don't leak through.  I think I was about where you are when that started happening to me.  Also - for me, I wouldn't always feel a letdown even though I had leaking.
  • I've been leaking for weeks Crying Not enough to need anything in my bra, but I'm leaking

  • I dripped like a faucet with DD. Nothing enough to totally soak through my bra or anything though.  I can't say I remember feeling a letdown but it is possible.
  • I have also been leaking for weeks - not enough to really even need nursing pads but definitely dripping especially in the evenings.
