Remember that debate Re:not giving notice before ML?

From about 5-6 months ago?  It was pretty heated for a couple posts.  I wrote I am quitting my job after maternity leave, but I'm not giving notice until ML is over.  And I got flamed.

I was 99% sure I was not returning.

We just couldn't swing it financially, so back to work January 3.

Boo.  but I will be glad to have you ladies to talk to again! :)

  • I'm sorry things didn't work out how you had planned.  I wondered if you were coming back or not though !  I did remember your post re ML.
  • I am sorry you were not able to stay home.  I would love to stay home too but it didn't work out for us either.

  • Welcome back!  Sorry that you have to go back to work, but I'm glad you are back, I always liked your posts!

    Your girls are TOO CUTE!!!!!

And, I still think it's wrong to not give notice until the end of mat leave.  We can agree to disagree Big Smile

You never know what might happen during leave. That was the point of the post. If she had given notice before leave as the "right" thing to do, she'd be out of a job now when she clearly needs it.

To OP, sorry it didn't work out as you wanted, but best of luck to you and welcome back!
