Christmas Eve Dinner

Do you make anything special?  Growing up we would always have:

Shrimp Scampi

Steak

Rolls

Twice baked potatoes

Green bean casserole

*sparkling grape juice - my sister and I thought it was so cool to have it in a wine glass!

DH and I havent really ever had a set menu for Christmas eve.

Re: Christmas Eve Dinner

  • Growing up we always had bean soup, because it would simmer while we were at church and be ready to eat when we got home :) Kind of random.

  • We do Christmas Eve with Ryan's family and we have sloppy joes.  Total random, but that's the tradition long before I joined his family.  I like it!

    lmao! That is so random!

  • We usually do junk food. We usually make french bread pizzas.
  • I have no ideas what so ever to do.  DH is no help - he just likes plain and simple things.  May just go with alfredo, salad, and garlic bread.
  • We almost always have an assortment of appetizers at my aunt's or Jake's grandmas.  If we do it at my parents, my mom usually makes roast beef, corn potatoes, etc.

I think next year we're going to stay at our house for Christmas Eve, then travel the next day.  I'll probably do chili or soup, something warm and easy.
