It's my birthday

and I'm sick as a dog. DH took the boys to the sitter and didn't even remember to wish me a happy birthday till I was shutting the door this morning!

My gift- the one he picked up with me with him is sitting in the dining room... and last night he said, "do you want a cake? we have a lot of sweets sitting around" No forget the cake- geesh

This birthday sucks and it's my 25th which I considered a big one!

My 30th was 2 weeks after my boys were born, and I have never had such an anti-climactic day.

I say, celebrate your birthday in a few weeks when you are feeling better and the holiday rush is over. You deserve it!

i agree. my 30th was 2 weeks after mine were born too. i barely got a happy birthday from my hubby, let alone anyone else. it was all about the bebes. eh..just another day for me.

Happy birfday!!!!! I've come to realize I have to speak up and let mark know wayyyyy ahead time what I want. I know it's kinda a bummer cause u just wish people would know and want to do things... but it just never happens that way. My 25th was a bust and I didn't have kids! I told everyone in my family (both sides) that if I said I didn't want a big 30th party I was a lying sack a sh!t. I hope u will get a chance to celebrate soon!!!

Well happy birthday! My DH does the same thing. I had to go online and buy the watch that I wanted for my birthday last year. He didn't remember to get a cake either, so don't feel too bad. I am thinking this year will be just as eventful, even though I made a big stink for his 30th in October. Men....... Confused

Happy Birthday!!!

Birthdays do not seem to be a big deal in my house. I always try to make DHs good by making him a cake and doting on him, but he doesn't really like cake. If I want a cake for my birthday, I always have to make it myself. My big 30 birthday is in June, we'll see if anything has changed. Doubt it.

I'm sorry you aren't feeling well and that you have the birthday blues! I think it is hard in general to have your birthday around the holidays. My husband's birthday is tomorrow, and he always gets the blues on his birthday. I always try to make it very special for him, and keep it very separate from Christmas, but he still gets down.

I agree with BeccaLandes--pick a day after the holidays and do something fun and celebrate when you are feeling better.

Happy Birthday! My 30th is a week from today and I'm sure it'll be just as sucky as yours! But I really don't care this year because #1 I don't want to leave the babies, #2 I feel too fat right now for a party and #3 not at all looking forward to being 30. 25 is still so young...enjoy it!! And hope you feel better!
