So Glad Nursery Is Finally Coming Together...
We aren't painting (we're renting and don't feel like dealing with the hassle of repainting when we move) so the room is coming together much faster than we thought!
-All of our furniture has been bought and put together.
-My grandmother ordered us 2 11x14 posters of the Very Hungry Caterpillar, and Brown Bear, so now we just have to frame them and hang them.
-The curtains were hung last night.
-We bought the canvas bins for the changing table and bookshelf. We've already started putting toys and books on his little shelf.
-The picture frame table has all of the frames set up (obviously won'thave pictures until he's born).
-I bought the supplies to make the letters of his name for the wall, and that will get done this week.
The only super major things left to do: paint his corner shelf and hang it (DH's job) and organize the closet (will happen after Christmas since a lot of presents are in there hiding right now).
I just like to make lists because I feel like I've accomplished things that way haha, I'm neurotic.

As for the clothes, I'm not gonna lie, I have a major addiction. I've been trying to keep it organized as we go, but it hasn't happened. Plus, my sister's BF has been giving us a TON of his baby boy's clothes. I need to go through the bags, organize by size, wash them, and see what we can actually use from them. Sounds like a January project for me, because I'm too tired to think of that right now LOL.
Haha, it's really only because DH was so excited to assemble the furniture. Otherwise, I'd still have it in boxes wishing that it were done. Once we got started, we were sort of on a roll. Plus, getting early Christmas money from relatives really helped with the decorating!

we bought the crib and cleared out the room.
So far we have:
Painted
replaced outlets and blinds
put in a dimmer switch (Yay!!)
picked up our furniture
Still need to:
Get the mattress (today!!)
get the curtains
I feel so behind. DH work schedule, all Christmas related things, and my intense back pain has been making it difficult to clear out our spare room.
Well we rent so we are not painting.
We bought the crib but it is still in the box at my parents house lol.
We plan on buying the changing table this week or next week.
My parents are having my old dresser from when I was a baby re done and we will be using that.
We bought one outfit when we found out LO was a boy and I bought a couple daddy onesie's for DH's stocking. But we are planning on waiting until after the shower to buy clothes (unless I find something I NEED to buy lol) since I have a large family and I know we will get a lot of things at the shower. I also have a nephew (who will be 1 on January 31st) so I will be getting a lot of clothes from him.
I'm hoping we can make some headway this week. We have the crib and mattress still in boxes in the guest room. We need to empty all the furniture still in the nursery, scrape, mud, and paint the ceiling, paint the walls and trim, and do something about the nasty carpet in there. Ugh - so much to do...
You are doing great! We still have a lot left:
1) Paint dresser and book shelf.
2) Assemble crib.
3) Order mural stencil kit and paint it.
4) Install second bar in closet, get my parents to take their stuff out when they are here over the holidays.
5) Wash clothes/diapers and organize dresser/closet (will do after shower).
6) Get giant TV out of room (hopefully tomorrow night when my parents arrive.)
DH is home today and he is supposed to be working on the list...I'm ordering the mural kit tomorrow and then I'm hoping my mom will help us with it New Year's weekend.
We have painted but still need to install the chair rail/molding. We are putting the crib together tomorrow night, but the rest of the furniture won't be here for a few more weeks. I did buy the bedding but haven't put up the curtains or anything else. And I haven't bought a mattress yet.
Side note: I totally scored on my bedding set yesterday. I had bought it a few weeks ago, but my mom and I went to BBB yesterday so I could show her some stuff we've picked out (my parents are visiting this week for xmas) and my bedding was on clearance! So I had them do a price adjustment with my receipt, and got the entire bedding set for $100. SCORE!
Wow - I feel behind!

-Put on new closet doors
-Put up new ceiling fan
-Cleared out furniture
Need to do:
-Prime and paint
-Put up wainscoting(sp?)
-Assemble crib
-Buy dresser and rocker
-Buy/make decorations and put up
-Buy bedding
-Make curtains
Hoping to have 1, 2 and 3 on that list done by Jan 2.

Well, I really only think we're making this much progress, because we're renting. So there isn't a lot of changes that we're allowed to make to the room so we have to make the space work as is. If we were making a lot of changes, we'd still be further behind, I'm sure.
I can just copy yours! We've done nothing and I still have a sister living in the baby room that is suppose to move out!
I need to kick my little guy out of there and into his new big boy room (we're waiting on the bunk beds to be finished). I pretty much have everything I need for her room just don't want to girlify it until Will is out...all the pink might freak him out!

We aren't painting since we are renting. I'm trying to hold off on anything else baby related since I'm done working in 5 weeks.
um, we haven't done much at all!
we've bought bedding and some accessories for the room and painted one of the dressers (actually done last summer) and that's about it.
we need to:
order furniture
install ceiling furniture
paint
clean out closet
get new roller shades
clean the floors
....and I'm sure a million other little things...
So far we've
- painted
- bought & set up crib & dresser
- put in a rocker chair from another room in the house
- installed a new ceiling fixture w/ dimmer
- installed light-blocking blinds
Still to do
- Organize closet
- Order & frame prints, decide on wall decals and put everything up
- Make bunting
- Decide on a side table and/or bookshelf and/or floating shelf
- Get the rest of the bedding & mattress
- Wash clothes & cloth diapers (not until the end)
- Get a lamp, rug, and fan
Once I figure out a) which prints & decals I want to use and b) which remaining furniture we need, the rest should (hopefully) fall into place.
