what did you get your DH for christmas?

i'm at a loss. I really thought something would come to me, but with only a few shopping days left, i'm stumped. i've gotten him a couple of shirts but that's it.

i need ideas!! help!

An extra xBox battery (I can't believe I'm supporting what I hate so much), clothes, a few books he wanted, we aren't doing a very big Christmas this year. I don't even think he's getting me anything.

ETA- okay, he kinda got me a tv for our master, but that's just as much for him as it is me, so I don't really count it.

I got DH a 42" tv. He has had one too many football seasons on what he calls our tiny tv. I know it is sort of a family gift but I honestly could care less how bid the tv is so and he knows that. It's over our agreed budget but we had a m/c a few weeks ago and he has been amazing. I couldn't help it.

He did tell me last night (he doesn't know I bought his already) that getting him something he really needs is always great. Clothes and shoes is what he asked for. I say get him something that he wouldn't think you would like the other lady said an extra xbox battery even though she hates the xbox. Is threre something like that you could get?

we're not really giving each other presents this year. we each are getting the other person a pair of pj bottoms and a couple dvd's each. oh and we do stockings for each other. that's pretty much it.

We rarely do gifts. Since we always travel over the holidays, it's a hassle. This year we bought an antique cabinet and chair for the house that we found. Typically we'll just go to the outlet mall and each have a mini winter clothing shopping spree.

A tool box for the garage - one of those stand up kind. I feel like this is a gift for me too, because all the tools will be up off the floor.

I also got him a game for his PS3, I feel like he plays too many games...but I bought myself riding boots this week, and plan to wrap them from DD...so she's giving him a game Wink

christmas/anniversary = replacement wedding band he lost about 6/7 months ago.

then i also got him a subscription to national geographic, 4 or 5 books, and a couple shirts/sweaters from Gap (they were having a good sale over the weekend. everything was 30% off except denim... which included sale stuff. scored 7 shirts/sweaters for $60!)

I got him a license plate holder that he wants for his motorcycle, an accessory box for his Dremel tool, this cool accessory for woodwork, some books, dvds, etc. We do a name drawing with his family and his mom drew him so she's getting him a Kreg Jig for Christmas.

DH loves to cook and has always wanted a cast iron skillet, so I got him that. He also constantly complains about having to slice cheese with a knife so I got him a nice cheese slicer, haha. He's also getting a new PS3 controller, the game Jenga (we LOVE games in our house), and a new devotional book.

He's a beer snob, so I'm putting 2 bottles of his favorite really expensive beer in his stocking along with a new disc for disc golf.

This reminded me of Keg (hmm, what's on my mind!) and i just remember we'd talked about getting a mini kegarator thing. i wonder how much that costs and if i could pull that off by saturday. thanks for the idea!

he's into video games (which he buys for himself all the time and i have no idea what he has/does't have). and he drinks a beer almost every night. unfortunately he doesn't seem to have any other hobbies, i tried getting him a weight set one year to encourage him to work out at home. he's used it probably 5-10 times in the five years he's had it!

PJ bottoms, fuzzy bathrobe, batteries for his xbox controller, some stuff for P90X that he says he has to have. I was going to buy him a flatscreen tv for the bedroom but this past weekend the hard drive on his PC crashed so he is now in the process of getting to know a Mac. Our current monitor can be turned into a tv so I guess that'll be moving into the bedroom once DH gets his Apple monitor.

I got him this bulk bin storage rack from Tractor supply. It holds nuts, bolts, screws type thing with different size bins....Its more for me cause it gets his garage organized! LOL!

He ordered a bunch of parts for his car so he said not to buy him anything since he already got what he wanted. I couldn't let him not have anything to open so I got him a few shirts, a couple of movies and two magazine subscriptions. Nothing too exciting but like I said he already got what he wanted.

oh yes, he has the homebrew kit. It's been sitting in the closet for about 4 years now. It probably isn't even good anymore.

We pick out our own presents - no surprises - and he's getting a cast iron skillet, Black Ops for the ps3 and a remote control helicopter. Jakob is getting one too and apparently DH is super excited that they'll be able to battle.

I got my DH tickets to the eagles / cowboys game a few weeks ago, blueray dvd player and movies, clothes, misc stuff that he needs but just won't by himself (socks etc..) and candy that he loved as a child but can't find anywhere in texas.

I got him a small iTunes gift card (he is addicted to buying apps), a high ball glass with a skull and cross bones on it, and some chocolate. We decided to give each other some spending money this year instead of buying gifts but I couldn't not have something for him to open. Works for me since I'm saving up to buy a new camera lens.

- 2 boxes of bubble wrap from costco.com (I gave them to him last week... he's always saving bubble wrap when we get packages and I'm just like... OMG... let me buy you some bubble wrap. It's awesome!)

- photo frame spinning pencil holder thingie with photos of our DS

- ordered a photo book of DS for him and one for each family household on both our sides

- A promise to finally hang up all the cool concert posters he's collected over the years in our dining room-turned-fun room.
