I'm still giving LO cereal about 3x a day with her meals, usually oatmeal at breakfast with fruit. Rice with lunch and rice with dinner.
I'm wondering when to stop giving her cereals???? She's eating such a great variety of foods now, I feel like maybe she doesn't really need them (i know they are iron fortified, but she gets iron now from meats, green veggies and still her formula). I just am wondering if she's having too much cereal for her age?
What are other moms of 9/10 mo olds doing???

After reading these posts, I think i'm way over doing the cereal--definitely going to back off the cereal to maybe at just breakfast and see how she does.
Thanks
My plan is to polish off the cereal we have left now and then be done with it! I think we still have 2 boxes.
Happy Birthday, little man. We love you so much!

Started our exploration into the world of international adoption June 2012. We have no idea what this is going to look like but we are excited to find out!
I'm doing cereal with fruit at breakfast and dinner. She loves it. I'm planning to leave it for a couple of weeks more and then change breakfast. (In Mexico our strong meal is lunch)
but also I still give it to her to gain some weight. Our pedi wanted to gain a bit, so she recommended cereal for a while.
GL!
DS gets cereal once a day at breakfast.
We aren't 9 months yet, but I'll answer anyway. The only time Harrison gets cereal is when I have to mix it in with either his fruit or veggie and only because it's too runny.
Other than that, he eats almost everything we eat, so I don't really see a need.
