Last minute teacher (or daycare) gift idea?

I need to get something for DD's preschool teachers.  She has three teachers (although one is the head teacher, the others are younger assistants).

No idea what to get!  Definitely no knick knacks, no stuffed animals or anything, and I don't want to bake stuff.  I don't know if they pay for any classroom stuff out of pocket or anything, so I can't help out there.

The only thing I can think of is gift certificates to somewhere like Dunkin Donuts, or little boxes of truffles..

  • From my experience, they all love giftcards. You can do DD or Brueggers, or even Target or any of the grocery stores.

  • I got Ty's bus drivers and aids (4) $5 GC to DD and small bucket of homemade treats.  It was so easy to just go through the drive through last night for the GCs.  Ty's teachers/therapists (6) are each getting a box of Hersheys Pot of Gold chocolates (on sale $3.99@ Rtie Aid this week +$2+up rewards, but you need to do separate transactions) and a home made ornament from Tyler.  I didn't do GCs for the teachers because I contribute $20 GCs to the class every other month or so to cover a program that was cut from the budget this year.
  • I haven't done anything for the daycare teachers yet.  Another Mom brought in a Tim Hortons giant box of coffee.  I'm thinking about running to Platters at lunchtime and grabbing a big box of chocolates that they can put in the breakroom and all nibble on.

  • Last year I bought a TON of Avon chapsticks and mini-lipsticks.  I put one of each in a little baggie and made a tag that said "Merry Kiss-mas" then handed them out to all the teachers at the center.  I kinda suck this year.

  • I got each of DD's 4 teachers fleece throws from the Christmas Tree Shop.  Her 2 main teachers are also getting Subway GC's (there's a Subway next to the center).  And I'm taking in a fruit tray Thursday when I drop DD off.  I figure they get enough baked goods this time of year!

  • We are doing GC's; if you were stuck and couldn't get a store cash folded like Christmas trees are kind of different to slip in a card

  • I bought plain white ornaments and had Belle finger paint them. It took only a couple minutes for her to paint them and they were dry with in a couple hours. All of her teachers love them because it is something she made for them.

    Heres a picture.

  • I got them each (4 of them) $10. Panera gift cards that were a huge hit.

  • I bought them Panera lunch and delivered it to them.  I designed and printed simple gift certificates and put that as well as a Panera menu in an envelope with a bow.  Each teacher told me what she wanted, I called in the order, picked it up and delivered it.  They really enjoyed having a hot meal and I figure it's one less "trinket" type item they have to find space for.

  • i would get a gift card to starbucks or dd or tim hortons.  i am etiher getting our dcp a gc to kohls or to the pizza place. But i am leaning towards kohls b/c she doens't seem like the type to buy herself anything.
