I've been reading posts about what everyone has bought so far for the baby and I'm thinking DH and I are a bit behind. The furniture is bought and we have a few outfits. But should we be stocking up on all the little things? Or just wait until after shower? Am I the only one that's not going crazy buying things?

I have bought stuff, and we've already received some stuff as Christmas gifts from family, but it's just one thing here and there (plus some of what we had been given for the twins). Dont' feel behind. I've only recently started freaking out that we don't have everything. Especially after having PTL symptoms, I'm worried I will be in bed at the end... Do you know if/when you are having a shower?
ETA: Another reason we're getting stuff done is because I'm not sure if I'm having a shower. My friends are kind of on pins and needles around me, I think, after being excited about throwing one for the twins (they had a date set when I was 16 weeks). No one has mentioned anything this time. My work friends at my former job talked about it, but they're kinda flakey and naive and would plan it for 39 weeks when I've already had him
My DH's work always gives a shower but standard practice is gift card and diapers, which is pretty awesome. I'm scared to rely on a shower to get what I'm going to end up buying anyway.

Yes, I'm having a shower, most likely middle of March.
At 20 weeks, I wouldn't say you're behind. I don't think I bought anything until I'd had the anatomy scan and that was just one outfit. Didn't really buy anything else until I hit 3rd tri at the end of Oct/early Nov. (couple more outfits and a PNP with bassinet feature).
I just ordered the crib and breast pump after Thanksgiving when I was around 30 weeks b/c BRU had their cyber Monday deals. If I hadn't been able to get 15-20% off each item, I still probably wouldn't have ordered them yet. But my office threw me a shower last week and got us our mattress and bumper and the family is doing a shower on Jan 2nd, so at this point I am kind of waiting to see what I get before I go buy too much more stuff.

I hadn't bought anything at 20 weeks.
By 24 I had bought the crib, changer, diaper bag, wall letters, and the wall decal.
I picked up some clothes and a few books and the mattress after that. Then I waited until my showers were over before we bought anything else and just did it all in one fell swoop. That way I was able to use GCs and returns to get everything else we still needed.
