does your mom or close fam member have postpartum?

My mom had the worst postpartum depression and i was wondering if I will get it as well.. how many of your moms had this as well?

    My Mom didn't have any issues with pregnancy. She did have horrible hormonal mood swings later in her late 30's and 40's. She eventually had a hysterectomy and with time she kind of balanced out again.

    Depression runs in families for sure, but there are a lot of factors that play into PPD and PPA. I'd say prepare for the worst and hope for the best!

    as far as I know my Mom didnt have PPD, but it was also 26 years ago so who knows if they even checked for it.

    I do remember that she was Prozac for a while when I was in middle school.
