My Mom didn't have any issues with pregnancy. She did have horrible hormonal mood swings later in her late 30's and 40's. She eventually had a hysterectomy and with time she kind of balanced out again.
Depression runs in families for sure, but there are a lot of factors that play into PPD and PPA. I'd say prepare for the worst and hope for the best!

as far as I know my Mom didnt have PPD, but it was also 26 years ago so who knows if they even checked for it.
I do remember that she was Prozac for a while when I was in middle school.
