will i know if it's teething?

sorry but now that we're sleep training- something i didn't think we'd do- i'm concerned about when she's teething... she only has her two bottom front teeth and i'm CERTAIN she's teething (though i said that she was since month 3 and it took till month 9 till they popped!) so what if that's why she wakes?!?? will it be different? will i know she's teething and that she's waking bc she's in pain and needs some comfort? i realize how pathetic this may sound but really, how do you know?

Re: will i know if it's teething?

  • I'm afraid this isn't going to be the best answer ever, but... If I suspect she is "teething", I give her a dose of Tylenol before bed.

You'll know. I can tell if it's an "I'm hurting" cry or something different. And you'll be able to too. 99% of the time, it won't be teething though.

My fear is that Sydney will poop and I won't know it. She has been doing this through the day A LOT. You can't smell it and she acts like she doesn't have it.

  • You usually don't really know until the tooth pops.. & then you have an ah..ha moment ; )
