So my DD is 16 months old and has always been an early riser but for the last few days-almost week she has been getting up at 4-430.She does go to bed early, but we have tried moving her bedtime and she still gets up early-with less sleep.
We accept a 5-5:30 wake up but this 4am business is a bit too much to handle.
Any ideas?
TIA
Re: HELP-why is my LO getting up at 4AM?
Teething, growth spurt, or loud noise you aren't hearing would be my best guesses.
Teething pain will wake DD up (her canines are coming in now, so we give her advil before bed to prevent it.)
Are you using a sound machine? If not, you may have a neighbor leaving for work or some kind of loud noise that isn't waking you up, but she can hear. Our neighbor has a very loud truck and leaves for work at 5am. It wakes me up some mornings, but DD's room is right next to their house and she sleeps through it with the sound machine on.
Do not worry about all the questions, I can use any help I can get.So she is in bed by 6PM and she is teething, and I have given her motrin in the past before that. She will take a bottle but it does not seem as though she is starving.I hate to do ferber with her for mornings. But I want her to know that 5 is the earliest mommy is going to take her out. The noise is a good point,I have to look into that-since her room is on the other side of our apartment.
