what do you and DH do??

What do you and DH do at night when your LO is sleeping?? Like between 6:00 and 10:00 at night?? We usually aren't tired yet and we can't afford cable...we rent movies sometimes but that gets expensive...it used to be we could go to a friends house and hang out or something just to get out of the house now it seems like we sit at home every night twiddling our thumbs waiting till we are tired enough to go to bed...any suggestions??

We play games like Scene it. We don't have cable either, but we do have netflix that we stream to our PS3, we just started watching Glee.

Cuddle and watch TV or Movies. Make desserts or a really kick butt dinner together. Play uno or other card/board games. Or even just use the time to read a book or take a shower, that's usually the time that I use to "pamper" myself... Paint nails, pluck brows and such.

DH is in bed before DD. She doesn't usually eat for the last time for the day til about midnight and DH is in bed at 10.

Netflix is our best friend. We watch tv seasons that DH has missed because of work. (He has worked 3pm-11pm or 11am-11pm for years)

We FF so we prep bottles with water and fill the formula dispenser for the evening. We also do dishes, pay bills, surf the web...etc

DH and I don't have cable either. We ended up getting an antenna so we get the basic channels. That way all we had to pay for was the antenna. We also signed up for Netflix. Its less than $10/month and gives us something to watch when there is nothing on basic tv.

We don't have cable either. We usually watch movies, listen to music, play card games sometimes. Right now he is on xbox and I'm next to him on the computer. You should really check out Netflix. You could probably find a code for one month free trial. We watch a lot on our laptop and get them in the mail too. We could stream them through our xbox if we wanted to figure out how. It is like $9 a month, a ton available online for instant play, and then you can chose if you want to be able to get actual DVDs in the mail too. Much cheaper than renting for us (we always had late fees!).

I must say I'm a little jealous...your LO is less than two weeks old and you have to wait to get tired? And this four hour nap is not in someone's arms? Lucky you! During evening naps we'll watch tv, surf the Internet, I'll take a shower, try to sleep before the next feeding. You can read a book, fill in a baby book, chores. Take advantage of the you time, sleep if you can!

I wish we had so much time together when LO was asleep!

DS is awake and wanting to eat / be entertained from about 6 until about midnight. He is also awake from about 7 until 9:30 in the morning - which is when DH is getting ready to go to work.

We have very little time together!
