Canon Rebel ?

We are thinking about getting one this xmas and I was wondering can it use regular batteries or does it only take the battery pack?

    We have a Canon Rebel XS and it uses a battery pack. It lasts forever though. We bought the camera in May before DD was born and didn't have to recharge the battery (we used it a TON) until November. The battery charger that comes with it is pretty handy and easy to use, too :)

    I agree with this! We've only had to recharge the battery maybe 3 times and we've had the camera since July.
