I don't have a minimum amount, I just freeze the extra each day.
I have 300+ ozs frozen so far and I add to it daily...I have never dipped into it. I really need to look into donating...
300+ oz is amazing!!! I've been hovering around 40 oz for the past 2 or so weeks and I can't seem to get ahead because we keep having to dip into it when MIL babysits. It is frustrating to take milk out when I'm trying to build up a stash but it is so nice to get a break as well when she babysits.

Oh yeah, I wouldn't mind having to dip into it for a babysitter! How many times a day do you pump? And when?
Uluv, how long do you pump? Getting 2 ozs is good!

i only pump like twice a day, but i end up giving it to her because i am scared my boobs are empty and i want her to get food. when i pump its for about 15-20 mins
I'm beginning to think that I might be part dairy cow. I have about 1600 oz frozen right now and I add about 50 oz to my freezer stash each day.

Wow! That's impressive, I can't even begin a stash. I pump about 4 to 4.5 oz in the morning off one side and almost nothing from the other which is fine cause I feed her off of that side. I almost always end up using it that night since I feed her for about one to two hours before bed before I give up and give her a bottle until she is satisfied. Last night she drank 4.5 oz after feeding on both sides. Today had to go to dentist so again I used it. I only seem to go one bottle ahead, no more. It's sad to see it vanish so quickly.

How do you do that?????
I honestly have no idea. I drink TONS of water throughout the day and I think that helps. I wake up once in the middle of the night and usually get about 15-20 oz at that pump and then first thing in the morning I pump and get 10-15 oz. Then throughout the day I'll pump 4 or 5 more times and get 5-10 oz at each of those sessions. I really do think that I have dairy cow DNA.

I am usually a lurker, but wonder if you have suggestions for me. I have a large stash of BM in my freezer and recently defrosted some in the fridge. We tried to give it to DS but he wouldn't take it. I smelled it and it had a strange odor and tasted off. Can BM go bad in the freezer? And if so, what can I do to keep it from going bad? He is going to start going to the babysitter and I may go crazy if my whole stash is bad! TIA
What the hell guys!! I have these humungous boobs and I don't think there's anything in there! I mean I do breastfeed, but I don't get that much when I pump! Granted I can't find the time to pump every single day, but I only have about 25 oz stored
I pumped 4 oz right away this morning...maybe I'm not drinking enough as a PP said that it helps?
I have to start student teaching in February and I'm scared I won't have big enough of a stash to give to my mom! Granted I'll be getting at least 2 breaks to pump in school, but where am I supposed to store it during the school day?

I would imagine if you didn't pump so much your supply would go down some.
I have about 30 oz in the freezer. I'm hoping to build up some more before I go back to work. I'm not sure how pumping at work is going to go!

Dang! You ladies have quite the stash! I can't imagine how much room that takes up in the freezer!
I have about 60 ounces. I'm content with that for now.
Check out EatsonFeets.org.
i don't keep a minimum per say- just freeze it all & never touch.
i've got over 200 oz right now after 1 week of pumping. if it's anything like last time i'll have gallons & gallons by the time i go back to work.
