I was all set on the vintage surfer nursery but I'm still too indecisive to commit That seems to be the theme this time around for me! Now I'm thinking about a "rocker/music" nursery idea or the surfer thing.. any thoughts? ideas?
You are too funny! I can totally relate. I'm doing the same thing. Although I'm still doing the whole orange/aqua theme, I go back and forth with the whole surfer thing. I think I'm still doing "touches" of surfer stuff, but not as much as I originally planned. I didn't want it to be overkill if you KWIM. I also go back and forth with doing board and battan. Is it too girly, will it match with espresso furniture?? It seems like such a commitment...boys are hard!
I really love both themes. Maybe you can combine the two somehow with art, but with differnt types of pictures of both surfer and rocker (CUTE pics on Etsy I have been finding). But keep the same color scheme going in the pics so it doesn't look so out of place??
Good luck, it will look cute no matter what you do

I think the key here is to not get too "themey" with everything. I think you can still bring out that vintage surfer vibe without being heavy handed and obvious. Like using woven baskets, and natural beachy colors. The best way to pop in bits of your theme is artwork! There is so much good stuff on etsy, and you can balance out some surfer art with your other interests as well.
We definitely wanted to invoke a sea-life motif, but not be over the top or childish with it. The walls were already bluish-green in that room, so we added the pops of green and pink.
I had alot of fun putting our room together, so if you want any help conceptualizing what you want to do, feel free to hit me up!

Really loving the vintage surfer idea! Something about it seems softer to me than a rock&roll theme.
Restoration Hardware has a fun plane themed room, they're stupid expensive, but the little ride on plane is SO flipping cute!
