Mamas of baby girls...first haircut?

So, Libby's hair is getting longer, especially in the front and unless her "bangs" are pushed over to the side, they're looking sort of scraggly these days.

So we're thinking after her first bday of trimming her bangs but letting the rest of her hair continue to grow. What do you all plan to do? For now, we use clippies or headbands to tame her hair, but on a daily basis that's not very practical.

I wonder if I'll regret trimming her hair into real bangs at just 12 months old?

Re: Mamas of baby girls...first haircut?

  • People keep asking me when I'm trimming Bella's bangs but Ryan HATES bangs... I'm talking really hates them! I'm not a giant fan either though. We use clips and her hair is long enough for one pig tail on top or two pigtails, which are so cute! Although she's so busy it's hard to get her to stay still enough for two of them! The clips work perfect for us. I always have one on the diaper bag or clipped to the neck of my shirt just in case she loses the one that's in. For the most part, she leaves it alone though so it hasn't been an issue. Her hair is pretty long these days though so it has to be kept out of her face.

  • H keeps wanting to get E a haircut, I'm just in denial about her being old enough to need one.  She's got mondo mullet-head. I try to put little pigtails or clips in it, that lasts about .0005 seconds.  If L lets you put clips in her hair, I'm jealous.
