Drs. at Emerson Hospital (Concord)

Hi there,

 I've never posted here before. Contemplating starting a family sometime next year and have heard good things about delivering at Emerson Hospital in Concord (I live near there). I figure I should probably switch doctors before then if I can, to make things easier. My current ob/gyn is fine for now, but I am not interested in having her help me through pregnancy/childbirth.

 Does anyone have any recommendations on great doctors over there?

    My family lives in concord, so a few do use Emerson and I was born there.  However based on my experience (between family members and I sold medical supplies for 8years) I would not go to emerson.  If you live in Natick I would go to Newton-Wellesley.  My girlfriend delivered there last year and she had a great experience, I went in to visit her and I considered going there based on all they offered. Just my personal thoughts esp. if you aren't attached to your current ob I wouldn't deliver at emerson.

    Any dr. at Concord OBGYN is great! I delieverd my first at Emerson and due to deliver my second soon.  Best place and drs to deliever around this area. HTH :)

    I second this! Loved all the docs at Concord OBGYN.  Emerson also has a gorgeous new birthing center.   DH and I were both born there and so was our LO.

    i second newton wellesley.  i know two women who delivered there and one commuted a great distance just to get her care there and have her baby born at that hospital.

    not impressed with Emerson or the doctors there.  while i have no experience with OB-GYN there, my H has gone through a few doctors there looking for a good primary care doc.  also, another relative had an extended stay there for cancer adn the care was just ok, IMO.

    Emerson is a great hospital. I work as a physician assistant for one of the big hospitals and I would highly recommend Emerson. I delivered both of my DD there with Concord OB/GYN and had a wonderful experience. Many people think the bigger hospitals are best, but that is not always true. Ermerson has a lot to offer in a smaller hospital setting. Unlike some of the larger hospital Emerson is very personable. Emerson had great nurses in the labor and delivery. I felt like I was in good hands.

    Definitely Concord OBGYN - Drs. Bond & Ruben were my favorites, Dr. Trevin is great too though! I also really liked the pediatricians at the hospital. Feel free to PM me if you have more ?'s - I was juuust there.

    Considering switching to Concord OB GYN, sounds like a great place. Anybody have anything else to offer about them?
