any tips for keeping a holter monitor on a very active 4 year old?

S had one of her meds dropped this week and they are putting a holter on her on tuesday. it was hard enough when she had the monitor on at 13 months. can't imagine it now. I figure maybe I'll "bling it out" so she thinks of it as jewelry....any other ideas?

thanks!

  • i'm not familiar w/a holter monitor.  what is it?

  • can i get in on this advice?? my 3.5 month old is getting one on monday...
  • for our 2yr old  we told her  it was a  backpack like Dora's and she would sing "backpack back  pack"  with it. I don't know if you could get away with that with a 4 year old though. I would definitely try stickers or something fun  for her though. Good Luck!
  • thefuture--it's a heart monitor that has to be worn for 24 hours. it is put on and removed at the cardio's office.

It was a much easier task when S was 13 months bc we had them put it on her back and she just pretty much left it alone. now at almost 4, I'm bribing and telling her santa said she gets a present early if she cooperates with the monitor. ugh! she is so against it. it's not going to be easy!
