Apparently I just don't complain enough... (vent inside)

So this is actually another diaper selling vent.  Might be boring, but I have to get it off my chest.

So, several of you responded the other day when I posted about the lady who wasn't happy with the amazing deal she got and that she wanted to accuse me of misleading her.  I politely, but very firmly, told her that I did not mislead her, but that I was sorry she was unhappy with her purchase.  I pointed out that, at the very least (if she was not going to use the 4 OS covers), she made out with $30 worth of inserts for $12 (after all the money I spent shipping the dang package to her).  I offered to give her a refund of $16 (she originally bought for $20 and shipping was $8.50, so I offered to split the shipping with her) if she wanted to send them back.  Apparently, she just wanted to complain because she wrote back and said she knew it was a good value.  Well, what the heck, lady???  Are you just trying to make me feel crappy and frustrated before Christmas?  Do you not know I'm pg and I come by those feelings pretty easily already right now?

So another lady writes me today and says one of the two diapers I sent her looks like it was washed more than once.  Well, I never wrote in my post that it had only been washed once because I bought it "washed, but never used" and sold it as the same because I could never get a good fit on Quinn.  It was never pooped and peed in, so what else do you sell it as? "EUC, washed but never used" like I said in my listing.  She asked for some inserts to be included for free because I'd said I had some "like new BG inserts" so I grabbed two big white fluffy, stain free, stink free inserts and included them in the package - she said they were obviously used because the tags were worn.  Because of the stupid inserts, I had to used a box because they wouldn't fit in the big envelope I had and the shipping cost $5 - so a whopping $11 profit on two washed but never worn pocket diapers that retail for $16 each new and two LIKE new large bg inserts.  DUDE.  Seriously.  If they were nasty, complain.  If they stink or have rips, complain.

I once bought a "brand new xs BG aio"  from spot's.  The lady never said it was a version 1.0 or whatever the original was.  It doesn't even have PUL.  Or the EUC xs blueberry aio that had completely shot elastic when I got it. But I figured they're $6 diapers that I'm buying from strangers online, so I deal.

Apparently I could complain a lot more and be right on par with lots of other ladies...

GRRRR.

And thank you for letting me get that all out.

  • you got some real gems. apparently the U in EUC isn't supposed to mean "used"? god people are idiots.

though at least you're seeing some interest. I have like $300 worth of diapers sitting here that I can't get rid of. Almost had a sale but yahoo bumped the inquiry into my spam folder and I didn't see it for a week. Oops.

Sorry that you have had to deal w/ whiny buyers.  I always take into account the fact that I'm buying "used", regardless of what condition the seller claims the item to be in.  I can't believe that you've had two obnoxious complainers.  One and I would write it off as an oddity, two is just crazy!

  • Ugh! Sorry you're having such a hard time. I hope this doesn't happen again. What do they expect anyway, new never used condition when you noted they're washed but never used. I've washes new diapers a few times trying to get it to fit DD right but she never made a mess in them before, I wouldn't just assume that washed never used meant washed once.
  • Haha, Ello... But yeah, I hear ya on not getting a lot of responses - I've sold a few things and most, apparently, to complainy buyers!

And yeah... I mean, heck.  If you want something brand new buy from a store and pay full price.  If you're already paying 80% less than retail, don't complain unless what you got is unusable!  That's what I think anyway.

I'm glad you guys sympathize.  It's nice to have other people to commiserate with.

And, also, I would like to say, I realize the irony in the title of the post, as my entire post is a huge complaints.  Teehee.

You have diapers for sale? Do you happen to have some newborn AIO's?

If I can convince hubby to spend some more money on diaper, I could use about 6 AIO's but I don't want to buy them new.

Marbear has some xs AIOs, but you have to convince her to get them boxed up to ship out (sheesh, she acts like she's busy having twins or something)
