will you continue TTC the same month as your LO was conceived? I'm asking because if I don't get a BFP this cycle, we are quickly approaching the month in which DD was conceived (Feb.) and so their birthdays could possibly be close. This doesnt bother me, but DH pointed it out. WDYT?

If it doesn't bother you I wouldn't worry about it. I am one of six kids, three of us have birthdays in April, two birthdays in August and one in December.

We are going to try TTC this upcoming summer.. DS was concieved in July and I think we are going to start in July or August.. Its mainly becuase I am a teacher and it would be nice to have #2 close to summer break just like DS. It doesnt bother me to have both kid birthdays close together. My brother and i have close bdays and DH and his sister have close bdays.. i guess it will probably just run in the family LOL

I just got my BFP last night, we'd been TTC since May/June. We did skip August/September because if I got PG that cycle, the baby would have been due very close to DD's birthday. Now looking back, I don't think it would have been that big a deal.

I really doesn't bother me if their birthdays are close. My brother and I are both in May and it wasn't even something I ever thought about. I would not like if they were born on the same day though.

I would like #2 to have a different birth month than DS. No real reason why though. That means that we will start TTC #2 earlier than we did for DS, and skip the cycle that would put #2 in March if we don't conceive by then. We're hoping to have #2 in Jan-Feb OR April-June 2012.

This is assuming that we don't have any issues...

my little sister, brother and me all have birthdays within the same week. We always liked it. Plus, we have fourth of july in the same week. It was always fun. I am much older than them though, but they are one year apart, and it never seemed to bother them at all either. My mom always did separate parties for their friends, and we always had one big party for the three of us. Our older brother always said he felt out of the birthday loop because he was born in March

It took us 2 1/2 years to conceive DD so I'm not worried about 1 month. If it happens it happens. When you wait that long things like that start not to matter, such as, I don't want a Christmas baby, or baby during my or DH's birth month or this wouldn't be good for NYE or our vacation. You just roll with it & hope for a BFP when it comes. If you got you BFP within a few months of TTC then count your blessings.

I might try to avoid December and January, actually; my boys were born January 6 and it is a pain having something that close to Christmas. No one has the time or energy for much of a party. Though if we've been ttc a while by that point I definitely wouldn't skip those months.

My family growing up had birthdays in "clusters"; older sis, dad and brother were Dec-Jan and then my mom, younger sis and I were all in May. It was kind of fun, actually.

We are only going to avoid it b/c I don't want to have another baby that close to winter time. I have SAD and that mixed with the baby blues, I was miserable last year. I would like to have a spring/summer baby if it's possible.

Nope, I want to avoid November (DS's bday). We conceived DS in March which was an EDD of 11/17. I do not want a Xmas baby (sounds horrible) so we will avoid March and April. I am yet to have AF (stopped BF a month ago).

My girlfriend has her two (the 2nd was a surprise) about a week apart and birthday time is so stressful. She does 1 a week early, and 1 a week late so she has a few weeks in between.

It seems so trivial but that's our plan. So we will try in April/May depending on my cycle etc.

I'd prefer that my children's birthdays not take place during the same month. However, it doesn't bother me so much that I will stop ttc during the month my son was conceived. Besides, as a result of my son being a preemie (he was due in early October, but was born at the end of August) I don't pay as much attention to due dates as other people probably do.

Meh. We're not worried about it. We're probably going to start TTC in April/May 2011. We concieved DD in July. So, we might overlap, we might not. I'd love to start TTC today, but I'd like another spring (or even summer) baby so I can get out of the house during my maternity leave. That helped me TREMENDOUSLY in so many ways!

DH was born July 8, and now I'm due July 27, with the dr warning me I'll probably go a couple of weeks early (it's what happened last time), so we're ok with it, lol

It took a while to get pregnant with DD, and then we just recently had a miscarriage, so if I was to get pregnant next month, making the children the same age, I would absolutely be ecstatic. Also, and this might sound strange, I would LIKE them to be born in the same season. I'd like another girl, so I'd have the clothes, and I also enjoyed having a fall baby. My SIL had a fall and a spring baby and she couldn't reuse outfits and she said the summer baby was tough because it was too hot to take them out with a newborn and she went stir crazy in the house.

i don't really care about that....i just want to be pregnant with #2, regardless of what month they are born!! we stopped preventing in May and have really been trying since return of AF (i BF) and to skip a month would just make me more anxious!! every month is another chance--i am not wasting any.

It took 10 months to conceive DS, so I wasn't about to skip months. It on;ly took 3 with this LO, and I am due the day after I was due with DS. lol! He was late, so I am due 2 days before his 2nd birthday.

I have been thinking the same thing. If we get pregnant this month the due date will be one day later then Cedrics due date. He was 8 days early though...so hopefully the won't have the same birthday. Hopefully they are at least a week different. We are still going to try this month though. I guess I don't mind the close birthday that much!

We will be TTC this summer. It wouldn't really bother me if we did conceive in the same month. We conceived in November the last time. So if it takes us till the fall to conceive the next I would be alright with that.

We were only TTC #2 for around a yr, but I agree I am just happy to be pregnant again. I do not care that I have to be hot and miserable all summer, although some people think I would. Just happy to see that BFP!
