Is anyone a patient of Dr. Dryden?

I really need a rec from one of her patients to see her.  I used Dr. Zepeda with my last pregnancy, but (aside from the fact that I'd like to try a VBAC,) it looks like he'll be on his annual vacation during the time I'll need him to do my CS.  I heard Dr. D was PHENOMENAL, but she only accepts patients via her current patients' recommendations.  Any help?  I'd be glad to meet, email, whatever you want to do to qualify me for a rec.  Thanks for considering me.

  • I am technically a patient of Dr. Dryden's though I don't see her regularly so I don't know that I could "recommend" you.  I have no idea how that works.

I was a patient of the midwives but got lucky and Dr. Dryden was the OB on-call when I was in labor and she did my c-section so I became her patient by default.  She is absolutely fabulous though, I loved her and I hope to VBAC w/ her next go-round.

  • Just in case you need a plan B... there are VBAC doctors in town (though not many!!). Hector del Castillo is who did my vbac. Juan Franco is the other one I hear doing a lot of successful vbacs.

  • Have you talked to Dr Z about it?  They should be able to get you in to see her
  • I just started seeing Dr. Bobo and didn't know this was even an option. For some reason, I thought the entire practice was not doing VBAC's.

I think I will bring it up at my appt Mon. Not sure if I would be considered a candidate but definately worth exploring my options.

Can you let us know what Dr. Bobo has to say about it?  I'm a patient of hers and I've heard really conflicting information about her and her practice's policies on VBAC.  It'd be great to get the current info from Dr. Bobo.  Thanks!

  • It may also depend on the new TCH maternity hospital policies once the practice moves.  Although they say that they will continue to deliver pts at Methodist, I am thinking it will be a very small percentage.
