When my guys switch to convertable carseats - do they stay rear facing or face front? Im hoping to not switch the boys until they are one. They have to be one and ___ lbs? whats the weight?
My pedi said the recs had changed, and that babies should stay RF until 2 years old. Most convertible carseats can RF from 6 pounds to 30ish pounds.
This is what my pedi said, too. Legally you can turn baby around at one year AND 20 pounds. Do some research before you decide so that you can see why it's recommended to RF as long as possible. There are some good videos on youtube.
My son's head is starting to go above the top of the infant seat. Is that dangerous? Does that mean to switch to a convertible seat? He's not quite 20 pounds yet, just has a super long torso.
Re: dumb question
This is what we plan to do. Even though DS is pretty tall, once his legs get too long he can cross them.

This. We will keep him RF as long as possible - his seat RFs up to 40 lbs so as long as his legs are comfortable - he will stay RF.
Additional dumb question:
