Parenting after 35

Another FFFC

I am so lame.  I bought an infant/toddler scale and have been doing weighted feedings with Noah the past couple days.  He is gaining weight like a champ (13lbs, 12oz at his 2 month appt) and makes plenty of diapers but I am still paranoid about whether he eats enough.  Especially when he has been having some aberrations in his feeding patterns lately (refusing to nurse, only nursing on one side).  I think I'm going to end up being one of those mothers who is always foisting food on her grown kids.

  • Eat, eat!  :)

If it makes you feel better to do it like that and it's working, why worry?

  • That's not lame at all, I really wanted to buy one for S when he wasn't gaining much weight from 6-12 months!  The lactation consultant had a scale that she let us use so I ended up not buying one but I still wanted one at home.

  • That's ok, I rented a scale with Jason. I would have done the same with Erin but she doesn't nurse.
