baby boy red urethra

My son's urethra is very red.  Has anyone dealt with this before or know what it is?

    Like the urethral opening? If its that, I have no idea. Or just the tip of his penis? Could just be some irritation from the diaper.  Have you tried a dab of diaper cream?  Also that area has lots of blood vessels so sometimes it may seem more red than others.

    The hole on my son's penis was red and last time we were at the doctor I asked about it and he said it looked normal.  I would ask your pediatrician though.

    I asked about this last week at his check-up, and the doctor said it was caused by friction from the diaper.  Nothing to worry about.

    My ds actually got a yeast infection around his. Took him to the pedi and they gave him an anti fungal cream and it's so much better now.

    Thanks everyone!  It seems to have gone away, I think it was just iritation from his diaper.
