What I overheard a middle school boy say...

He and his friends were having some kind of screaming match down my block (fun, right?), and when I opened my front door to get my mail, I heard him say, "It's so hard to go back to sexy deep after that."

Yeah.  His voice hadn't even really changed yet!  I've been cracking up ever since.

    Yeah... we live right by the middle school and if I'm coming home at the right (or the wrong time), I hear some crazy, crazy stuff.  The kids use terrible words, but you can tell they aren't really comfortable doing it - just trying it out to sound cool. 

    Sometimes it's amusing and sometimes it's just plain disturbing!

    As a MS teacher, oh the stories I could tell.  It's sad really.

    Opposite end of the spectrum - Walking behind some middle school boys, I overheard them talking [quite excitedly, too!] about how the human body isn't meant to travel over certain speeds, and that cars aren't very good for our anatomy if you "really look" at our skeletal system.
     
    I was blown away, and also couldn't stop laughing at no only how cute that was, but also how excited they were talking about this stuff!
