Question re: diaper bag

Hola from 3rd tri. I am thinking I could get the most helpful answer from this board. I am looking into diaper bags and I was wondering what you all have found as the most useful/practical as far as size, material and price range are concerned. Thanks ladies...

Re: Question re: diaper bag

  • I have the Ju Ju Be Be All and I love it.  The shoulder pad on the strap and the changing pad are made with memory foam and the material is anti-microbial.  Lots of pockets and space for everything!

  • I use a regular backpack as a diaper bag.  I don't have to worry about balancing the bag on my shoulder and my baby in my arms or about not having both of my hands free.  Plus it's a hell of a lot better on my back.

  • I have https://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3199294 diaper bag.  I absolutely love it.  Plus my husband has no problem carrying it since it is basic black.  It has plenty of space, its expandable and comes with a changing pad.

I have heard lots of people say this one is too big. I prefer to have just one bag that will hold everything even when I have to pack heavy. If we're just going for a short trip, I still don't mind its size, but I just like bigger bags.

The most annoying thing about it is that it doesn't have a long shoulder strap. It just has the two shortish ones. It hasn't bothered me too much, but if I could change something about it, that would be it.

It has lots of pockets and compartments to keep stuff organized. I hope that helps! :)

  • I have no idea if other bags have this feature or not but I love that mine has these straps on each end that allow you to attach it to your cart or stroller so it hangs there.  It is Carter's and I got it at Sears.

  • I have a diaper bag something like this, https://www.walmart.com/ip/Pretty-Baby-4-in-1-Messenger-Diaper-Bag-Pink/13989094

It's big enough for me to carry diapers, wipes, changing pad, nursing cover, sling, extra clothes for DD, swaddling blanket, etc.... You don't want anything tiny that's for sure. My diaper bag also has a clear plastic lining so incase anything is spilled it won't be a problem.

  • I have the PPB Boxy Backpack and absolutely LOVE it! It's pricey, no doubt, but worth it in my opinion! Plenty of storage and I love the zip down changing pad.

  • I have the JJ Cole Mode Tote and I LOVE it. They sell at Target for $60 and is very cute, easy to clean and comfortable to carry. It also has a ton of space. I have room for 10 diapers, wipes case, travel pack of baby bath supplies, two bottles, a small can of formula (for emergencies), a spare outfit for baby, two burp cloths, couple of toys, blanket and room for my wallet, cell and other necessities with room to spare. Wonderful bag. Also has a really big easy to fold up changing pad and loops to hook it to your stroller.
  • I have the Skip Hop Dash Deluxe in grey.  DH likes it too because it's not girlie.
