Hey..I didn't get a chance to log on yesterday, and I just saw your post about NYE, and thought you may not go back to it, so here is my $.02....the Royal Park is amazing!!  I was a wedding planner for several years and did several events there and the rooms were gorgeous (not inexpensive, mind you, but fab) and the service is great...it's a bit off the beaten path, so you would have to drive to bars and such, but a great place.

And I just had dinner at Kruse & Muer on Tuesday night, and it was soooo good!!!  Their bread makes me swoon and I had whitefish and it was super!!

Great choices..hope you have a fabulous trip to the D!!!! Smile
