Whenever someone posts that their LO is taking a late nap everyone replies to wake them up or they won't go to bed on time. Well, S fell asleep today at 4 p.m. and it's now 6:30 and I'm taking a chance and letting him sleep right through (hopefully) till morning because I am a firm believer in letting babies sleep! I changed his diaper just before his nap and he's wearing comfortable clothes and if he wakes up in the night I will give him a sippy cup of milk and try putting him back down quickly. This may backfire on me and he may wake up at 3 a.m. for the day but...anyone else ever try this and had success? Or did your LO wake up hungry in the middle of the night?
Re: Anyone ever try NOT waking up their LO from a late nap?
Margaux has napped late and slept through, but we think she was sick so I don't know helpful that is.
Good luck!
Gracie sometimes takes a nap at 4. I ususally just let her sleep. It just may push back her bedtime a bit.
Yeah, I can only remember one time that DD went down that early and slept through--she was sick. Before she turned one, a late nap didn't screw things up too much, but now I can't let her sleep past 4:30 if I want any hope of putting her to bed by 9:00.
