  ow!  try some duct tape (or any tape) & apply  it lightly then pull... kinda like waxing, but not so rough! or tweezers

  My mom always used a black salve on us.  She just put it on and then placed a band aid over it.  In the morning it would draw it out.  I think you can get it at CVS/Walgreens.  There are many different brands.  Here are some examples:

  OMG--that is totally brilliant!  Because I already tried tweezers, and it's just below the surface, not really sticking out.

  I use a pair of surgical pickups...the work great.  No help for you, though, unless you want to make the trip over here.
