Everytime I put an AIO or pocket on LO at night, he leaks up his back. He's just on the cusp of when they're supposed to fit, so I'm wondering if they're just too big on him? Last night, I put a RaR on him with an AFFF insert and a microfiber insert, and when he woke up less than 5 hours later, his back was soaked, but the inserts weren't! They were a bit wet in the front, but completely dry in the back. How is that even possible when he leaked out his back???
The RaRs seem to work fine during the day, and so do the AIOs i've been using, but anytime I try to use one at night, they leak. Anyone have any idea what I'm doing wrong? Thanks!

I would guess either fit or repelling. If they work fine during the day though I would tend to think fit or even the need for more inserts. What about trying a fitted with PUL or wool. I feel like there is less user-error possibility with that system.
First though I would test for repelling and try switching up your inserts. Maybe do all MF one night and different brands of inserts from what you have. I would also make sure you test different size settings with your snaps/velcro to see if the fit is the issue. Also make sure that the inserts are concentrated in the front if possible and that everything is tucked in just right. GL!

Alright, I think they may just be too big for him. I used a syringe to test out a bunch of my diapers, and they are not repelling. I always point his penis down (That's correct, right?). And I make sure to tuck all the fabric in on the back, front, and legs. I did notice though that the syringe has to basically be right up against the fabric for them to absorb quickly, so if the diapers are too big on LO and aren't right up against him, I can see where the urine would roll around instead of being absorbed quickly.
I stuffed the RaR pretty full last night, and I think it may have just been too bulky for my little guy...he's only between 8-9 lbs, and he's pretty lean. I'll give it another week or so and see if it works better at night. The fitteds with covers seem to work better for us at night, so we'll stick with those for now.
If anyone else has any advice on something else I'm doing wrong, I'd really appreciate it! Thanks!
Good plan! I think you're right that they're just too big yet.
And yes you're doing everything right with the tucking and pointing, etc.
