...um, yeah. see title.
now that he can latch on and eat w/o me supporting him (he's just propped up on a pillow), I do stuff on the computer - bump, email, FB, catch up on my rss feeds, ... (eta: i never interacted w/him much before b/c i was concentrating so hard on getting him latched on, maintaining a good latch, doing breast compressions, listening for his swallows, etc...)
but then I was wondering - maybe I could talk to him? sing? read? i don't know...do you interact with your LO's while you're feeding them, or just be quiet and let them eat?

I pretty much watch TV or am on the laptop. I still haven't figured out how to nurse completely hands-free, though. I don't interact with him too much because he usually gets mad/fussy or sleepy if I try to talk to him, stroke his hair, etc.
ETA: He usually stares at things while nursing...though I'm not quite sure what he's looking at. There's not much to see around here (I'm nursing him right now.) Maybe he's just concentrating really hard on nursing?
I just let him eat in peace, except of course when he was really little and would fall asleep during feedings!
But even now when he gets his milk at a meal first, he seems to just want to drink it in peace and not eat or be bothered at all until he finishes it.
LOL, when I saw the headline, I was like... Um, I feed her! And I try to eat myself... And try to prevent her from throwing food off her high chair, or tossing her sippy cup. Enjoy the easy meals while you can.......... Soon feeding your LO while checking e-mail won't be possible!
(We just finished bkfst, she is now tearing thorough my christmas gifts, so I'd better go stop her... it's just so fun, let's unwrap gifts every day!)
