Thank you for your help on my "Spelling??" post. Now I AM asking for opinions on a name. Dallas for a boy? I really really love it so I'll probably use it regardless but I would like some opinions on what you think?!

I think Dallas is a better boys name than a girls name, however I am really not a fan of city/place names as baby names. JMO

Definitely a boy's name. Not a fan. I know a Dallas (who's in his twenties) and was named after the Dallas Cowboys. No comment.

They ARE my favorite football team, but the name has nothing to do with them. My favorite baseball team is the Braves and I have no plans of naming a baby Atlanta. Just a coincidence.

I think place names are trashy, particularly place names from Texas (but that might be because I hated living in Texas).

I do like some place names but Dallas is not one of them. For a boy I think it sounds too feminine because it reminds me of Alice so much. For a girl I think it's trashy sounding.

Other suggestions? Not all my style. Some may work more for girls/more for boys: India, London, Brooklyn, Paris, Indiana, Aspen, China, Siena, Ireland, Bronx, Charlotte, Georgia or Savannah.

The only person I know IRL w/the name Dallas was named that because his father is a huge Cowboys fan. It's totally NMS and I would think this if I met someone w/the name.
