DH and I are starting the home buying process. We're considering Lisle, but we don't know much about the schools. If you're in Lisle, do you like the schools? Do you feel the teachers are solid and your kids are getting a good education? Our LO is a few years away from school, but we're planning on buying a house that fits our long-term needs, so schools are very important. TIA!
Re: Lisle Schools?
We live in Lisle. The school districts are the same caliber as Naperville schools. Depending on what part of Lisle you are located in, you might end up in district 203, which is Naperville. Lisle district is 202.
I teach near there in Downers Grove.
What do you mean, " Are the teacher's solid?" If you want to know about the schools and district, you an go to the district's main page. Click on the school report card and it will tell you information about individual schools and student progress. Personally, I wouldn't base all of my decisions on test scores without knowing much about state testing, but it'll probably show you that it's known as a good district.
I work at one of the elementary schools in Lisle! I grew up in Naperville and have worked in Wheaton, Lockport and New Lenox.
I feel that the teachers and administrators in Lisle are TOP NOTCH. The kids are great and from a vast amount of backgrounds (socio-economic and race)!
The district is small which I like. There are only four schools in the district (2 elmentary, 1 junior high, 1 high school).
