I have PCOS. I was diagnosed 3+ years ago when we started trying to conceive. We ended up having fertility treatments to conceive DS but this baby decided to come on its own!

I was diagnosed before DS but got pregnant with this child after just 1 AF after breastfeeding for 9 months. My MW thinks from nursing so long I may have reset my pituitary gland and may not have PCOS anymore since I had a mild case.

Me. My dr was so surprised when I got pregnant on my own because in July when I saw him our last resort was going to a fertility dr. I decided I didn't want to put myself through that and a few months later found out I was pregnant without any drugs. What a blessing!

Me! I was officially diagnosed in March, but suspected it for awhile due to long cycles that never really regulated after coming off the pill 3 years ago and other symptoms. I have insulin resistance, too, so my doctor put me on Metformin in March and I started charting. My cycles started regulating and after 6 months, here we are!

I was diagnosed in December of '08 after we had been trying to conceive for 8 months with really long cycles and no ovulation. I was put on Metformin but didn't want to start fertility stuff right away because we also learned that I had a septate uterus that my Dr recommended be surgically repaired.
After healing from the surgery and waiting to see if my cycles regulated on Metformin for 7 months we decided to move forward with Clomid. We did 3 cycles of Clomid with no luck. We moved on to Clomid + HCG Shot + IUI for 2 cycles and the 2nd cycle worked!

I have PCOS and have had to have help getting pregnant with all my children. Let me tell you it was a rollercoaster ride with my other 2 pregnancies....gestational diabetes among the biggest prob...I am on metformin now and at a better weight this time around so I am hoping that this can be controlled with that and diet. Good Luck and if you have any questions I am always here!
