Okay, so stupid question. I need to wash my diapers with bleach, as we have a reoccurring infection. I read the hows and whys on Pin Stripes and Polka Dots, thanks to you girls. But, all of my diapers say DO NOT BLEACH. So.... what kind of effect is bleaching going to have on my expensive stash of diapers? I looked for one that said it was safe on colors, but couldn't find any.

Re: Yeast in CD: Bleach Question
What kind of diapers are you using?
Really, on synthetic fibers, bleach won't cause much damage - BG recommends it as part of the monthly diaper routine - but I'm sure if you used a ton of bleach every wash, PUL would get damaged, etc. On natural fibers, my understanding is that it causes them to break down more quickly (the same way it would if you used it on your clothes every time you washed).
I think 1/4c is what's recommended for treating yeast - it's a pretty minimal amount. I haven't used it on lots of colored diapers (other than colored PUL and it was fine) but I did wash my wetbags when we had our yeast problem and the print on the wetbags wasn't damaged at all.
Hope that helps!
I have Tots Bots easy fit with prints/colors, and Fuzzibunz OS with colors. I was worried about the PUL. So the bleach shouldn't do much unless I do it really more than once?
