Stupid ire from parents
today i was just talking to mom and I told her (not maliciously or anything, just as a matter of fact) that some of my friends knew about the pregnancy before her.
HOLY craptastic thing to say, evidently. if she wasn't the first, evidently i'm evil and must be destroyed. Ugh.
Oddly enough, she still thinks that she was the first one to know about my sister's pregnancy, when in fact, it was me. but THAT would have been mean of me, to tell her that.... although it did cross my mind...
ugh.

Oh and also evidently equally bad - when I told mom that i'm still wearing things to hide pregnancy. she pulled the "honey, pregnancy is a beautiful period of life and you're missing it"..
I couldn't roll eyes harder.
thank god it was a phone call.
naturally i said "i do'nt see it as that, i see it as a process, a means to an end in may" but nooooo.. i'm wrong about that, as well...
luckily she didn't pull an "you'll see", because that would have driven me batty.
I get it! I told my sister and we told my husband's brother almost immediately after the positive test. But then, at 12 weeks, we had to stage this 'big announcement' to brother's family and my in-laws at the same time because we all knew how upset my mother in law would be if she wasn't the first (or at least simultaneous) one to find out.
Seriously? Does it matter? At least she didn't find out on Facebook or something like that!
With this pregnancy mom was the first person to know. With DS she was the last. DH and I weren't married and I had just graduated college. I knew she wasn't going to take it well at all and I was correct. She hung up on me when I called to tell her (they live 3 hours away). She finally came around but you would have tought I had committed a capital crime or something.
