I am a trainer for a cosmetics company and the first girl in the group to get pregnant. So my boss is having a hard time dealing with how to treat me during pregnancy. I typically travel 42 weeks a year, carry super heavy luggage, stand for 8 hours a day and work late hours.
I am having a hard time finding the balance in still doing a good job at work and keeping my growing baby first. I know I have to stay with my job until I have the baby because we need the health insurance and the maternity leave, but I am so stressed out how I am going to manage my job for the rest of my pregnancy! I can't move to a desk job cause my corporate office is in another state. Has anyone else out there had to go through this? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks in advance!
Re: Frustrated with Work (Traveling Mama)
are the other 10 weeks vacation or do they have you doing other types of work during that time? if it's the latter, can you do that type of work now?
also, i imagine that it would be possible for you to sit while you're doing at least part of your job, even if it's not "allowed" so to speak. get a doctor's note. i'm sorry you have to go through this.
