When I picked R up from day care yesterday the ladies suggested that I give her teething biscuits because she is constantly chewing on things. I told them that I'd think about it and let them know after the weekend.
I've given R rice, oatmeal and barley, cereal and stage 1 purees so far. I was going to start introducing some stage 2 items this weekend. I'm a little concerned, like all moms are, about choking and I guess I don't understand why a teething biscuit is better than a teether or anything else that she wants to chew on for that matter, other than a biscuit would have some flavor.
Do you suggest teething biscuits - if so what kind? And if not why not?
I need some help weighing the pros and cons...

This!!! Oh my - if she's constantly putting things in her month, do they want you to constantly feed her the biscuits?! If Ellie's fingers aren't in her month, she's got a toy or something in there instead and I personally don't see that the biscuits would change that. I will say that Ellie loved bagels around 6 months or so - whenever her top teeth came in and they were early - still messy but more because she shredded the bagel vs gummed goo all over her hands and such.
