car seat cover/bundle me

I have heard that the bundle me is unsafe for car seats. Is this true? I know JJ Cole carries a "shower cap" style car seat cover. Does anyone have one of those? I live in Missouri and if definitely gets cold here, so any info would be helpful! TIA!

Anything that goes underneath the baby that isn't crash tested with the seat is considered unsafe. The "shower cap" style doesn't go between the carseat and the baby, so it is the safer option.

I was using the Bundle Me and just bought the shower cap style one this weekend to use instead. I like it better bc it is safer and bc it seems to shield her from the weather better. (You cannot zip the Bundle Me up all the way with the baby in it or her face will be completely covered. The shower cap one has a hole for her face.) Carilyn is right, though.

Theres another style at BRU that just goes over the part that LO sits in and zips up the center so their face can be out once youre in and the shade can still be up in the back we have this one and I like it

Yup, this. I have a Cozy Cover. It was $15 from Walmart, it's safe and works great!

We have the Orbit G2 and their footmuff/ bundle me (by orbit) thingy is approved for use with the car seat. I called them up and they told me that it's crash tested with it and everything. Then I had them send me an email with this so I could have it in writing LOL. Don't know why.

It's $140 so I don't know if I'll get it, I really want to get the weather pack for the stroller too. It get super windy in Manhattan, freaking wind tunnels around where I live.

This. We have an Eddie Bauer shower cap one and really like it. It's fleecy on the inside and waterproof on the outside, so it does a good job of keeping DD warm and dry.

Yup, this. I have a Cozy Cover. It was $15 from Walmart, it's safe and works great!

We have the one from wal-mart to. Love it!!!

We have the JJ Cole bundle me. It is true that it hasn't been crash test rated, but it is very thin. I don't think it would impact the safety of your car seat at all because lo is still strapped in tight. I like that it stays in the car seat all the time. You can pull it up just under lo's chin, so he/she stays very warm. Its so warm that we usually have to unzip it once we get in the car or DD will sweat!

Good to know! I am close to the capital, but am originally from Southern California. This is my 3rd winter and still getting used to all this cold weather. lol. Gotta say that I do like living here more.
