We have a list of names I like, but nothing I LOVE. We can't seem to find a name that feels right. We gravitate towards the somewhat unique, but not weird, classic and old-fashioned. DH is pushing for Henry, which I like, but I am afraid it is too popular right now.
Also on the list are:
Louis
Hugo
Calvin
Walter
Cash (I think too hipster for us)
Theo
Would love to hear other ideas. DD is Norah. Middle name will be my last name, which is 6 letters and starts with a G. Last name is a ridiculously long Dutch name that starts with a V.
TIA.
Re: Another name post, hitting a wall re: boy's name
One of our friends was going to use the name Jude.
I also like Liam, Reed, and Lincoln.
Oooo...one of the names on your list is actually the name we've chosen! So funny, just when I think I've come up with something that is unique, but not odd, someone else has it too.
I like all the names you've picked. I like the English spelling instead of the French spelling of Louis though...Lewis. I was on our list but just didn't sound right all put together with the other names.
What about: Wesley, Jude, Julian, or Drew? All were on our list and got cut because they just didn't flow.
Some of my favorite boys names are:
Weston
Sebastian
Ellias
Joshua
Augustin
August
Hudson
Reed
Finn
Magnus
We looked to 1930's-40's classic movie actors for name inspiration. Our favorite was Grant after Cary Grant. The runner-up was James (Jimmy Stewart/James Dean).
Along those lines I like:
Jack
Charles
Mitchell
Joseph
Peter
Spencer
Dean
I also really like the name Dexter but DH would never go for it.
Isaac
Able
Warren
Charles (I love Charlie for short)

I love Henry. And Theo is nice too. Both seem fun.
And of course I love me some Charles, with Charlie as a nickname.
Before he was Charles, we were going to name a boy Everett. It's now his middle name because my brother named his son Nash Everett and I wanted him to have something that was all his own.
Anyway, also on our list were Maxwell and Samuel with Max or Sam as nicknames.
I've got a boat load of nephews. Their names are Nash, Nicholas, Jack, Noah and Owen (Henry!). Oh and a second Jack just for good measure.
You have some great names on your list!! I particularly like Theo and Calvin from your list. Not sure if you care about # of syllables, but with really long last names, I prefer one or two syllable first names.
GL! Boys names were tougher than girl names for us!
From your list I like Calvin, and I like Henry...but agree it might be a bit popular these days.
What about Liam, or William. Hugh, Howard, Nathaniel, Nicholas. Maurice
I love the name Norah, it was on my list for both of my girls but dh is not a fan of "old fashioned" names as he calls them.
From your list Henry (DH's name!) and Walter appeal to me. I especially like the nn Walt.
Our boys list was: Otis, Otto, and Angus
With a super long last name (11 letters) - we didn't think of this with Sabina- but with L wanted names 4 or less letters if possible. A good friend of mine is married to a Dutch man, and their son is Reid (I think that's the dutch spelling?)
I like a ton of your names- Cash is NMS. But I love Henry! I also thought of Reed/Reid, Charlie, Harold (I love Harry as a NN). You could look at some of the name sites for names that were popular in the 1910's or something- that would be fun to see!
Our boy name was going to be Burton.
I LOVE it, its a family name, but we're using the same family members name for our girl, so we will likely never use it
My husband likes the classes Biblical names included Jeremiah, Mark, Ezekial, Xavier, Robert.

I have no suggestions but just wanted to say hi. I'm not sure if you know that I changed my screen name, but I was your day-of coordinator
I always wondered if this screen name was you when I've lurked here and there--now I know for sure, haha!
Congrats on your family, sounds like you're all doing well!
I never thought of Hugo but I like it, especially with a Dutch last name (I am imagining Vandersomething here). Henry is a little too trendy for my taste although it's a great name. Just super popular right now.
Calvin is also cool. Walter is okay, Walt is nice. Not a huge fan of that one.
My favorite boys name right now is Levi. I think that will be high on my list if I ever get pregnant with a boy.
