A bit nervous re: handmade Christmas

I wrapped up MIL's gifts last night since we're doing Christmas with her this weekend (she's visiting from out of state).

I don't know why I'm nervous, but I am!  It's my first year giving handmade gifts.

Mama to two boys and a girl: J (6 yrs), C (4 yrs) and A (4 mo)

    I can see why it would make you a bit nervous...it's very personal to give a gift that you made yourself and put a lot of love and time into.  You want for it to be well-received and appreciated!  I'm sure they all will be.  If not, just send them all to me next year :-)

    I agree - that said, I'm nervous, too!  I'm making some ornaments, and they're not much, but they do take a bit of time!  DH has actually made some decorative wooden trees, which have turned out FABULOUS!  I'm actually a bit jealous of his skillz! ;)

    I'm nervous about my MIL's handmade gift, too!  B keeps telling me that it's great, she'll love it, etc. but I'm still nervous.

    If she doesn't like it,, its her loss. You make wonderful things. Heck, I loved your ornament so much I packed it up tight and couldn't find it this year. Maybe it was a bit too safe?
