Am I CRAZY or have you ever felt like doing this...

I was at a resturant with MH and saw a couple with a pretty new little baby girl.  I was of course eyeing the baby every few seconds and I am sure the parents thought I was crazy!  All of a sudden I had this urge to grab the baby and run out of the door.  OMG!!  I thought to myself WTH??  I even pictured myself doing it.  I could not believe I was thinking this!  I guess I REALLY want a baby!

Have any of you had any "urges" like that or am I CRAZY????Confused

    Of course I've thought to myself or joked out loud "That baby is so cute I could just snatch him up and take him home with me" but I've never actually pictured myself doing it.  I think because I work in Target, I have been forced to see lots of pregnant women, newborns, toddlers, etc that I got over my "stare factor" quickly.  I like to make faces or talk to the older ones for entertainment for both them and myself :) And that might make the parents think I'm either a little quirky or a total nut job LOL.  But the little girls and I always like to talk about who our fav Disney Princess is.

    TTC since July 2009. Dx MFI & LPD.

    IUI#4 1/23/13 on 75iu x9 Follistim = BFP then chem preg m/c (Feb 2013)
    IUI#5 BFN (April 2013)

    BFP! Beta 1:104 @ 10dp6dt, Beta 2:178 @ 12dp6dt,  beta 3:366 @ 14dp6dt
    Saw heartbeat twice before missed M/C at 8w3d on 12/27/13, missing my little angel boy
    JUNE 2014 IVF#2;  5R, 2M, 1F Three day transfer 6/7.  Beta 6/18 - BFN
    Child Free Now?

    lurking and when we were TTC with DD around the three year mark I found out both my SIL's were pregnant and thought what if I went to visit them and took the baby home with me... totally nuts  and I didnt do it but since SIL had FOUR I thought she might not notice... so youre only crazy if I am

    Yes...just this week. A mom with most beautiful baby sat down right next to me. I don't think I envisioned myself running off with him, but I definitely stared for way too long to be socially appropriate and felt like I was longing.
    IUIs #1-3 (1x unmedicated, 2x Clomid) = 2 BFNs, 1 m/c at 7w3d
    IUIs #4-6 (injects) = 3 BFNs
    IVF #1 = BFN
    FET #1 = BFN
    FET #2 = BFN
    IVF #2 = BFP, b/g twins lost at 20w due to partial abruption/PPROM
    IVF #3 = c/p 5w2d
    Long-shot Clomid/Prednisone cycle before next IVF = BFP, our beautiful, healthy girl born 6/26/13!

    TTC again March 2014
    FET #3 - May/June 2014     -     all embryos arrested before xfer - back to the drawing board...
    IVF #4 - July/August 2014

    I find the longer that you're on the IF journey, you will, at some point or another, hit "steal baby mode".  Mine came last June.  There were multiple children I almost ran off with

    YES! I have felt the same way before! Of course I would never act on that thought, but the urge does strike.

    after anovulatory diagnosis and TTC for 1 1/2yrs with several medicated cycles and one chemical pregnancy, we have our first bundle of joy!

    A friend of mine who is also having trouble TTC said that when she was on certain hormones, she had the exact same experience you're describing! Whether it's all the hormones or just the emotional rollercoaster of TTC , I think these kind of urges are not uncommon. Maybe take this as a sign to pamper yourself//get some pampering to make sure you're taking care of you during this stressful time.
