TTC After a Loss

Cycle question

hey ladies-

I joined a few weeks back and intro'd myself but really haven't posted since. Sorry. I was in my 2WW and now I am on CD1. Anyway, so...ever since my MC my cycles have progressively gotten shorter for the last 4 cycles. Starting at 30 and now at 27.  Is this common after a MC? I have always been at least 28. Hope it doesn't affect my chances of conceiving. Thoughts?

Thank you!

Re: Cycle question

  • Now that you are on CD1 have you thought about charting?

If your cycle gets too short there could be a problem. Oing too early and your lining could not be good enough.... or having a short LP will not allow much time to keep a pregnancy. If you chart you can figure these things out. Otherwise having a 27 day cycle is pretty decent.

  • Sorry for CD1  :(  I agree with Cashew that charting is great to help you find out what is going on with your cycle.

Yes, cycles can change a lot after a pg loss.  It could be you are Oing earlier, or it could be that your LP is shorter.  Depending on how short, that could be a problem.  That's why charting is great, b/c otherwise, you don't know when you O, so you won't be able to find out how long your LP is.

  • Thanks ladies. Pretty sure I ovulate around day 12 and that is typically consistent. I have pretty intense pain that day on either side and my CM would dictate that too. Guess we will see what this next month holds! :)
