Brand new at this with questions...

At 9 weeks I started bleeding, went in to the dr this past Monday...sac measured 4 weeks, continued to bleed and it got heavier.  A few cramps up until today and then it felt like I was having contractions.  Passed a lot of clots/tissue and had a lot of pressure along with the cramps.  Called the nurse and she said just to take otc meds for the pain. 

 Is this normal?  Does it get worse before it gets better?  The cramps were awful.  I was told to only go to the er if I was bleeding so much that I was soaking a pad every 30 min. or felt light headed from blood loss, but other than that I have been told nothing by my dr except that they want to see me again on Monday.

    I had heavy bleeding on a Sunday night and miscarried at 11:30 PM the next day (Monday).  I started to get cramps around 6:00 or so on Monday.  They progressed to being the worst cramps of my life.  I then passed the sac which was about the size on an egg at the time.  As soon as I passed the sac the cramps went away for the most part.

    I have passed so many clots I don't know what was what, but today the cramps have been the worst.  Just ready for this to be over and my doctor is of no help.

    Same thing happened to me as above poster.  Had light spotting for a week, which the nurse said can be normal, then Saturday had red when I wiped.  Sunday had red all day, Monday was bad cramping every 15 minutes until I passed everything.  Went for the sonogram appt. that afternoon, everything was empty. :(  The cramping and bleeding lightened up over the next few days.
