How much does your baby sleep???

DD sleeps way more than her cousin who is a couple months older than her... he takes a 1 1/2 hr nap and then sleeps for 9 hours at night. Total of 10 1/2 hours. DD takes 2 naps totaling 3 hours and sleeps 12-13 hours at night. Totall of 15-16 hours. Just wondering what your LO's are doing???

Isaiah still wakes up 3 times a night to nurse but sleept at 10 and wakes up at 530 with us before work... so since he is basically sleeping while eating he sleeps 7.5 hours. I am told by my MIL he naps as soon as she gets him so does that count as well? If it does, 9 hours

BTW your LO is ADORABLE, I that hat!

I feel like people are going to hate me for this, but DD sleeps 12-14 hours a night. Her naps vary, but she usually still has 2 a day. I think we should be very thankful!

DD sleeps anywhere from 8-10 hours at night, and takes anywhere from a 1hr nap to 3hrs.

DD sleeps 13-14 hours at night and takes 2 naps during the day the first one is 2-3 hours and the second is about an hour. So around 16- 18 hours a day.

DS (before we had all of these issues with teething and EI) sleeps from 7pm-8am and then takes 2 1.5 hour naps....so 15-16 hours as well.

He has an EI right now and it's really messing with his sleep, but he is making up for the lack of overnight sleep with an extra morning nap. That however does not help with my lack of sleep. Even if he's not waking up he's crying in his very disturbed sleep and that's keeping me up as well.

I am glad to know SIlas isn't the only one. He sleeps 12-13hrs at night, a 2hr morning nap and a 2hr afternoon nap so 16-17hrs a day.

12 hours/night.

2 naps during the day. Roughly an hour each, although occasionally they will pull out to longer.

So 14+ hours/day.

Yeah, she's been a sleeper since birth. Every pedi appt. I'd ask if he was sure she was ok. Until 4 months or so she slept 22 hours a day. He said we were just lucky.

DS sleeps about 10-12 hours at night. He takes a morning nap of 1-1.5 hours and an afternoon nap of that can be 3-4 hours long. Occasionally he will also take a cat nap right before dinner for like 45 minutes if he is really tired. So that's about 16-18 hours a day.

I think I read that 13-15 hrs total is about average. DD sleeps 10-11 hrs at night and takes 2 naps of 1 hour each. Sometimes she takes longer naps if she needs to catch up on sleep.

DD sleeps 12 hours at night and takes three naps,usually 3-4 hours total, so I guess she sleeps about 15-16 hours a day.

Babies' needs vary though and a few months in age makes a big difference. By the time my son was 13 months old he was sleeping 10 hours at night and only took one nap a day that was 60-90 minutes long, a total of only about 11 - 11.5 hours each day.

Hearing about babies who sleep 16-18 hours a day make me want to cry, I have tried everything and still can't get my baby to sleep like that. DD sleeps 10 1/2, maybe 11 hours at night, and naps are a mess. Usually two 30-45 min naps, every once in while they'll be an hour or two, but it's rare. She totals about 12-13 hours a day. I suppose recurring ear infections combined with teething doesn't help Sad

My DS is not a very good sleeper. He usually sleeps about 11 hours at night. Not STTN yet though. He takes two 45 min naps. Total of about 12.5 hours a day. It's hard for me to get any thing done.
