It's a fungal infection (ie. yeast) and he's on an Rx cream (Nystatin) 3x per day. I'm to use Triple Paste on top of the Nystatin for those diaper changes and alone on others. Of course to keep him clean.
The ped we saw is new (the one who diagnosed Aaron's Torticollis and Brachy is on maternity leave) but she was nice. She said it could take up to 2 weeks to go away but if we don't see improvement in 1 week, to call back.

It sucks that Aaron is uncomfortable (he grabs at his butt cheeks when I'm changing his diaper) but I noticed it looks a little better today. Not gone, but an improvement. So I'm happy.
I wish I had gone to the pedi earlier so this would have been on the mend sooner. But I felt foolish about heading to the doctor for diaper rash. You live and learn.
