When child gets congested she gets sick....help

when ever my child gets congested, gets a cold her asthma acts up or what not she gets sick, she vomits usually just once but it will get her sent home from school and result in us being home for 24 hours and missing a day of school. I know this is for the best interest of the other children but anyway..

What can I do to help her? We use an inhaler, and nebulizer and all that fun stuff to minimize the congestion but it doesn't always help...

is she vomiting from her stomach being sick or the congestion? have you tried a saline spray to break up the congestion?
